New this year, the Fabulous Flashback Car Show is a 2-day event
Friday, September 18; 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Applebee’s parking lot on Airport Park Blvd. in Ukiah.
Kick off the event with the Friday Night Bash. Reminiscent of when the favorite past time was cruising to the local diner, listening to rock n’ roll and hanging out in the parking lot with friends. Live music, raffle prizes, vendor booths and merchant sponsored show-n-shine awards.
Saturday, September 19; down town Ukiah on School Street.
Downtime Ukiah is the place to be for the Car Show and Swap Meet! You’ll enjoy the pre-1973 classics parked by class. Shop for treasures at the Swap Meet, have breakfast hosted by the Ukiah Host Lions Club, they make awesome pancakes and sausages. The breakfast takes place in the Savings Bank parking lot. Vendors are dispersed throughout the venue for your shopping pleasure and raffle prizes are also available. At the conclusion of the show, more than 70 winning vehicles parade down the street to have their trophies presented by the current reigning Miss Mendocino!
New this year, directly after the trophy awards, the Poker Run sponsored by the Main Street Program will take place. The starting point is the City of Ukiah’s Civic Center parking lot just one block west of the downtown area. The route is revealed at the beginning of the run and will take you on a fun ride around the area and you will end back at School Street where the Car Show takes place for a 25th Anniversary BBQ Celebration. All cars registered for the Car Show receive one poker hand, you can buy extra poker hands for $5 each.
Proceeds from the Car Show and Swap Meet are used to award scholarships to students continuing their education in an automotive related field and to provide equipment and educational materials to local school automotive shops.
